What are some ways to make homemade aloe vera sunscreen?

No matter what season it is, sunscreen is essential for daily skin care. In addition to dealing with heat and tanning, sunscreen protects our skin from pollution, dirt, and impurities that can even damage it. While store-bought sunscreens are great for the skin, there are also natural ways to create sunscreen using available ingredients.

Many of you probably know that you must use a sunscreen with at least the SPF 30 mark. But layer your homemade sunscreen under your regular sunscreen to double its effectiveness. Here are different ways to use aloe vera to make sunscreen at home:

with coconut oil

Mix 1/4 cup coconut oil, 2 tbsp. Zinc oxide powder, 1/4 cup of pure aloe vera gel with 25 drops of walnut extract oil and a cup (or less) of shea butter. Combine the ingredients except the zinc oxide and aloe vera gel in a medium saucepan, allow the ingredients to melt over medium heat and allow to cool, then stir in the aloe vera gel. Cool the mixture before adding the zinc oxide, then mix well. Store in a cool glass jar in a dry place until use.

with turmeric

Mix aloe vera gel with turmeric and apply a natural sunscreen to your skin. Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric with 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel and apply. On the other hand, you can even make gel cubes by keeping this mixture in the refrigerator.

with sunflower oil

Mix 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel, ½ teaspoon of sunflower oil with ¼ cup of water and 3-4 teaspoons of zinc oxide. Mix all the ingredients well to make a fine paste and apply this mixture on your face. Aloe Vera contains antioxidants and leaves a moisturizing effect on the face. It protects your skin from harmful UV rays and sun damage. Vitamin E and antioxidants in sunflower oil and beta-carotene help protect skin from sun damage and reduce sun sensitivity.
