Visit Tiger’s Nest Temple, also known as “Taktsang Temple”, located on the outskirts of Paro. Your local transport provider will be able to guide you. This is one of the holiest places in Bhutan and should not be missed. To reach this monastery, you will have to travel a long way, but it will be worth it.

When you arrive in Thimphu, there are many attractions to visit, one of which is the Vajra Buddha. Overlooking the city, this impressive statue was erected in 2015 for the peace and prosperity of the country. The height of this statue is about 51 meters, making it a formidable sight.

The National Monument Pagoda should be on your must-see list. This is a temple built in 1974 in honor of the then King of Bhutan. This place is highly visited and highly recommended.

Plus, you can ditch the itinerary and just wander around the country and explore it – all while seeking more peace, relaxation and tranquility.
