A pedestrian bridge on the outskirts of Da Nang, Vietnam is a tourist attraction.
The reason for this is its fantastic design, which appears to be supported by a giant stone hand.

The bridge, named “Cau Vang” in Vietnamese and “Golden Bridge” in English, is located in Ba Na Hills, one of Vietnam’s tourist attractions. It was completed in June this year and opened to the public.
The 500-meter-long bridge was built at an altitude of 1,400 meters above sea level, and from here it offers wonderful views of the surrounding sea and mountains.
As the name suggests, the railings on either side of the bridge are painted gold, and the sidewalks are lined with purple lobelias (a type of bluebell).
giant hand made of fiberglass
The most notable feature of the bridge is its design, which appears to be supported by a giant hand.
German landscape planning firm TA Landscape Architecture designed and built the building.
The hands that appear to be made of stone are actually made of fiberglass, not stone. A spokesperson for the company told international media:
We first designed and built the skeleton of the hand, then covered it with metal mesh. I sprayed it with fiberglass and painted it at the end to give it a textured finish. It took a year to complete the bridge.
Vietnam focuses on tourism promotion
According to overseas media reports, the number of tourists to Vietnam has grown rapidly in recent years, and Vietnam is experiencing a tourism boom.
The Vietnamese government is advancing a tourism promotion project worth about 200 billion yen. The bridge built on Ba Na Hills in Da Nang city is also part of the project.
Now, Ba Na Hills is trying to attract 1.5 million tourists a year.
