Vietnam e-Visa is now valid for 90 days
Vietnam is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Southeast Asia. From affordable flights to scenic sights, this country has everything to soothe your soul. To make your Vietnam trip even better, the country is extending the validity of e-Visa.
The move comes after the government agreed to extend visa reform measures. This will provide great peace of mind to international travelers planning to travel to the country. It was approved on June 24, and the validity period of the approved electronic visa was extended from 30 days to 90 days from August 15.
Validity of Vietnam e-Visa as we know it
Current visa rules allow travelers a single entry into the country. However, with the extension, travelers can not only stay here longer, but also enter Vietnam multiple times.
This is good news, as destinations within Vietnam such as Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City have a lot to offer international tourists. Thus, longer stays and multiple entries allow people to spend enough time in one place without worrying about their visa expiring before fully exploring the country.
Currently, Vietnam allows 80 countries to use electronic visas, including India, China (including Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR passport holders), Greece, Japan, South Korea, the United States and Italy. The visa processing fee is $25 (INR 2,049) and takes about three to four days, according to the website.
In addition, citizens of 25 countries including Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia can enter Vietnam visa-free. According to the latest news, citizens of Vietnam’s unilateral visa-free countries will now be granted temporary residency for 45 days instead of 15 days.
