US park humiliated by Tokyo Disney

One of the main things to consider when traveling to any of the Disney parks is where to stay. The Contemporary, Polynesian, and even the original Disneyland Hotel are considered the pinnacle of American Disney luxury, and that’s partly true. However, one of the international parks has proven it can actually do better.

When most fans think of the iconic Disney hotel, they usually think of Walt Disney World’s modern resort or one of the other places to stay near the park property. While the resort certainly has a lot to offer, recent footage from Tokyo Disneyland shows just how much slack the American park has.

It is likely that most Disney fans are first familiar with Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and possibly even Disneyland Paris. However, Asian parks such as Shanghai and Tokyo Disneyland are quickly showing how good their guest relations are compared to what their hotels offer.

Inspired by Disney in the 1930s, the Disney Ambassador Hotel packs a lot into a simple room. While there are plenty of fun freebies at places like Walt Disney World, they’re down on all the goodies this magical resort has to offer.

In their video, @kylaclairee shows just how much of an advantage Japanese parks have over US parks. The embassy provides guests with free pajamas and toiletries, while guests staying at the US embassy usually pay for a bottle of water.

American Resorts has come in for some criticism lately, especially in light of recent remodels of places like Contemporary. With such reports coming out of Parks International, it’s clear that the original Disney park needs some serious work.

Of course, this could have something to do with Disney’s restrictions on its international properties, as Tokyo Disney is effectively controlled by another developer. That being said, it’s not like Disney doesn’t have the power to change. The question is, will they?
