Passengers traveling between the UAE and India will have more flight options to choose from as travel between the two countries is set to increase exceptionally during the upcoming summer holidays.
Air India Express has announced an additional 24 weekly flights between India and the United Arab Emirates (mainly Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai) during the summer season to benefit Indian expatriates and tourists.
Air India will add four more flights to Dubai, taking the number of weekly flights to 84. The Tata Group-owned airline will also increase flight frequency on the Ras Al Khaimah route, adding six flights per week, taking the total to eight.
From June to August, many schools in the UAE will be on summer vacation, prompting expatriate families to travel abroad to meet their relatives. Likewise, a large number of Indian tourists visit the UAE during the summer vacation. Travel agents advise UAE residents and frequent travelers to book their tickets at least three months in advance to ensure they get the best deals.

“The airline will increase flights to international destinations such as Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Jeddah and Sharjah. The airline will increase flights from Ayodhya, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kannur, Kolkata , Kochi, Mangalore, Trivandrum and Varanasi to expand its reach with domestic and international flights, aiming to provide passengers with a wider and more convenient travel experience.
As part of its summer flight schedule of 2024, Air India Express will offer more than 360 daily departures. The airline is significantly expanding its network, with more than 25% more domestic flights and more than 20% more international flights compared with last year’s summer flight schedule. This represents an additional 55 domestic flights and 19 international flights, bringing the total number of domestic departures to 259 and the total number of international flights to 109.
Last week, the company launched four fare products to choose from – Xpress Lite (carry-on baggage fare only), Xpress Value (15kg checked baggage fare), Xpress Flex (unlimited changes, no change fees) ) and Xpress Biz (Business Class seats with meals and priority service).
