Travel Questions: Why is it so expensive to fly to Nepal? | independent


ask I have decided to go trekking in Nepal on Easter Sunday and return in two weeks. I’m now looking for flights and unfortunately they seem to be very expensive – closer to £1,000 return and I’m looking at around £600 or £700. What do you suggest?

A Unlike Indian powerhouses Delhi and Mumbai, Kathmandu is a niche destination in the UK. There are no more direct flights and connecting services are limited to a handful of airlines: Emirates and its partners flydubai, Oman Air, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines.
