At first glance, Bali might just be a small island. In reality, however, this popular holiday destination covers an area of 5,780 square kilometers with a diverse cultural and environmental landscape.
The island is governed by nine counties, with Padang being the most visited by tourists, but there is a lesser-known county that is gaining more and more attention.
Bangli Regency may not have as many famous tourist attractions as Patong Regency, but the area has a lot to offer tourists.
Data shows that tourists from all over the world must visit Bangli County when they go on vacation.
According to the Bangli Regency Tourism and Culture Office, revenues are pouring in from the region’s most famous tourist destination.
In fact, Bangli County has exceeded its tourism target for this year. Speaking to reporters, Bangli Tourism Director I Gede Putu Budiastawa said he was relieved by the growing interest in the area.

Turning to the tourist tax paid to the tourism board from five of the most popular destinations in the regency, Budiastava said things were looking good.
He said: “As long as there are no special circumstances, we are optimistic that it can reach 45 billion rupiah this year. Suppose there is an epidemic, war or terrorist incident like before, disrupting the world tourism industry. If the situation like now, We are optimistic that this goal can be achieved.”
As of the end of June, the Bangli County Tourism Bureau has completed 65% of the annual tourism tax target. The top tourist destination in Bangli district is the iconic Penlipuram tourist village, followed by destinations such as Kintamani, Lake Batur and Temple Batur, and Cepung Waterfall.
