Brits staying longer can also apply for an e-Visa through the online portal for stays of up to 90 days, up from the previous maximum of 30 days. Additionally, the extended e-Visa is now valid for multiple entries rather than single entry.
A spokesman for Vietnam Airlines said: “The upcoming changes to visa-free travel and e-visas will significantly increase the flexibility for British tourists to travel to Vietnam and other countries in different parts of South-East Asia. Multi-destination British tourists will be able to enter Vietnam and then travel to other countries, if They miss our beautiful country and can return. Vietnam Airlines will accompany them through direct flights from London Heathrow to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as an extensive direct network to other major cities in Vietnam, Asia and Australia. “
Vietnam Airlines currently operates five non-stop Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner flights per week from Heathrow T4 to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, which will increase to one per day from 29 October 2023.
