While there, they learned tips and tricks that can help travelers better see and experience South Korea.
The couple posted a series of these tips on TikTok just over a week ago.

The first advice offered by the couple, who go by the nickname “Shrugmyshoulder” on TikTok, was Receive a T-Money card upon arrival at Incheon International Airport.
This is equivalent to our EZ-link fare card and is essential for traveling on public transport in Korea.
Just be careful not to make the same mistake they made buying a single travel card.
So, when you’re at the airport, keep an eye out for the vending machines that sell T-Money cards.
Travelers should also note that “telcos (packages) are quite expensive” in South Korea.
Shrugmyshoulder mentioned that an unlimited data SIM card will cost US$30 (S$39.96).
Thankfully, most cafes and shopping centers offer Wi-Fi.
However, Shrugmyshoulder said the Wi-Fi on the train was unreliable, forcing users to reconnect every 30 minutes or so.Therefore, be sure to Please take this into consideration when you travel to Korea.
Turning to the topic of transport in the country, Shrugmyshoulder said they don’t need taxis at all there.
The couple strongly recommends using the public transportation system, which they find reliable and relatively cheap, at about 1,250 won (US$1.30) per ride.

“Do I need to know how to speak Korean? Or can I speak English?” asked one TikTok user.
The couple replied that they only said “thank you” in Korean and got along well.

In another TikTok video, Shrugmyshoulder advises potential travelers to avoid travel between June and August.
“It’s either hot and humid or cold and rainy,” they shared.

Now, they work remotely while traveling in Singapore and around the world.
