Malaysia. Travel restaurant and service provider SSP Group and its partner Travel Food Services (TFS) are expanding their portfolio of airport lounges after signing a major contract with Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB).
The agreement marks a major breakthrough for both companies and covers six lounges at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), low-cost terminal KLIA2 and Kuching International Airport.
The new business will be operated by SSP Malaysia, a joint venture between SSP Group and TFS, which is also working very successfully with SSP in India.
TFS operates 20 lounges in major travel hubs across India, including the award-winning GVK Lounge at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
Three of the six lounges are located at KLIA, with the partners taking over the International Airside Loyalty Lounge and two First and Business Class lounges.
At KLIA2, SSP and TFS will operate the International Airside Loyalty Lounge at Gate L and the International Airside Loyalty Lounge at the Satellite Tower. The expansion of the portfolio is complete with the addition of the Domestic Airside Loyalty Lounge at Kuching Airport.
According to SSP, the lounge experience will be enhanced with a new range of premium local and international food and beverage offerings.
