Get a Southwest Partner Pass
To earn the Southwest Companion Pass, you must be approved for one of Southwest’s three consumer credit cards and complete qualifying activities. All three cards come with the same rewards: Companion Pass and 30,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 in purchases within the first three months of account opening. The Companion Pass is valid until February 28, 2024.

Generally, Southwest Airlines passengers can earn a Companion Pass by taking 100 one-way qualifying flights (or 50 round-trip qualifying flights) or earning 135,000 qualifying points in a calendar year.
Once a pass is issued, it is valid for the entire calendar year (January-December) after the requirements are met, plus the remainder of the calendar year in which you were issued the pass.
So if you get your standard Companion Pass in June, you can use it for the rest of this year and the next. The sooner you get your pass, the more you can get the most bang for your buck.
