The store was inaugurated by Daniel D’Souza, President and Country Head, SOTC Travel Limited, and Himanshu Sampat, Assistant Vice President, Sales, SOTC Travel. This addition further strengthens SOTC’s network of 10 stores (3 retail and 7 franchise stores) in Mumbai, reaffirming the company’s strategic focus to expand its footprint in the city.
Mumbai is one of SOTC’s three main source markets, and the company’s new store is located in a prime location in Ghatkopar, a hub for the nearby Vikroli, Powai, Bhandup and Mulund districts. Ghatkopar is a hub for international travelers and an important source market for SOTC Travel, providing the company with a range of valuable market segments such as Gen Z/New Age Travellers, Millennials, Families, Couples, Gen S/Seniors people and business owners.
SOTC Travel’s customer insights for Mumbai and Maharashtra states that demand is more than 30% stronger than pre-pandemic. The company has witnessed high demand for personalized holidays and group tours in the region, and expects strong demand for experiential holidays, adventure holidays, domestic cruises, eclectic accommodation, safari and bike tours.
