Singaporeans in Sri Lanka are strongly advised to remain vigilant and take all necessary precautions to protect their personal safety. They should avoid public places where there are protests and large crowds. They should also monitor the news closely and follow instructions from local authorities. Singaporeans traveling to or in Sri Lanka are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance and familiarize themselves with the terms and coverage.They are strongly encouraged to register electronically at MFA at https://eregister.mfa.gov.sg/ If they don’t. Those in need of consular assistance may contact the Honorary Consulate-General of Singapore in Colombo or the 24-hour duty office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
