Event: Products Containing Cannabidiol (CBD) Convicted in Hong Kong
Products containing cannabidiol, also known as CBD, will be banned in Hong Kong on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Possession of a product containing CBD is now punishable by up to seven years in prison plus a hefty fine. Trafficking and manufacturing CBD products can lead to life in prison. Travelers entering Hong Kong with CBD products may be arrested upon arrival. We recommend that US citizens traveling to Hong Kong double-check their luggage contents, including oils, lotions, supplements and cosmetics, to ensure they are not bringing CBD-containing products into Hong Kong.
