The airline has launched “Dream-Miles”; a loyalty program that rewards passengers with miles accumulated using RwandAir as their carrier of choice.
“Dream-miles cover one place of our destinations and also depend on the number of miles you have,” a Rwandair official told KT Press, adding, “Every time you fly with us, the tickets you use are converted into miles. number.”
RwandAir, which pioneered the program in the region, combines Dream Miles with a reloadable Visa prepaid card.
The new card will be called the RwandAir Dream Miles Global Travel Wallet card and will allow members to accumulate miles when they shop at Visa retailers anywhere in the world.
Beneficiaries are divided into primary, emerald, silver, gold and diamond.
RwandAir said that to be considered for the program, award tickets should be requested at least five working days before flight departure and must be valid for three months after issuance. Allows revocation of a redemption request as long as the redemption has not been used.
While passengers traveling in all fare classes are eligible for the program, RwandAir says the discounted fares in economy and business class will only attract 50% of the applicable miles (V for economy class, Z for business class). cabin.)
The program also has different promotions such as upgrades from economy class to business class, excess baggage and free tickets.
Miles earned, if not redeemed, expire every two years, but can be renewed prior to the expiry date, which is only valid for 12 months after renewal.
Passengers can claim Dream Miles through the membership website or by directly calling the Dream Miles call center or posting on Dream Miles Management.
RwandAir recently passed the IATA Operational Safety Audit and was awarded the IOSA certificate.
The airline, considered the continent’s fastest growing, has begun expanding its fleet, recently acquiring two aircraft from the Airbus A330-200 and A330-300. Rwanda now flies to a growing number of destinations in Africa and the Middle East.
Plans for more Asian and European destinations are also underway.
