Qatar cabinet approves draft law related to advertising

Doha: His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdurrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, presided over a regular cabinet meeting held via video conference on Wednesday.

Following the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs issued the following statement:

The topics listed on the agenda considered by the Cabinet are as follows:

The Cabinet approved in principle a draft law amending certain provisions of Law No. (1) of 2012 on the regulation and control of advertising delivery.

The Cabinet approved a draft decision on the organization of the General Directorate of Pension and Social Insurance in Emiri.

The Cabinet approved several draft administrative decisions of Law No. (22) of 2021, which regulates healthcare services in the country.

Cabinet approved a draft decision by the Minister of State for Energy Affairs extending the deadline for contractor settlement under clause (20) of Decision (2) of 2022, which sets out the rules regarding electrical connections and water utilities As well as granting conditions for the renewal of a license to do such work.

Cabinet also approved the following:
1- Draft Memorandum of Understanding between the Financial Information Unit of the State of Qatar and the National Financial Information Center of the Sultanate of Oman in the field of exchange of information related to money laundering and related predicate offenses and terrorist financing.
2 – Draft Memorandum of Understanding on Joint Cooperation in the Field of Health between the Ministry of Public Health of Qatar and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Peru.
