Qatar Airways to showcase its Airbus A350-1000 and Gulfstream G650 ER at Eurasia Airshow


Qatar Airways will showcase two of its state-of-the-art aircraft during the Eurasia Airshow in Antalya, Turkey, from 25-29 April. The airline will showcase the world’s most advanced airliner, the Airbus A350-1000, equipped with the revolutionary Qsuite business class seat Qsuite. Also on display during the airshow is the Gulfstream G650 ER, a premium Qatari business jet and an industry-leading long-range business jet.

His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways, said: “Qatar Airways is delighted to participate in this year’s Eurasia Airshow for the first time. Tourists from all over the world will be able to experience the five-star service and products offered by our airline. Turkey has always been One of the top destinations for our passengers due to its growing popularity for both business and leisure travel. Therefore, we recently announced that we will be offering direct flights to Hatay starting April 4. Hatay is our destination in A fifth destination within Turkey, reflecting the close relationship between the State of Qatar and Turkey. We are also very pleased to be launching direct services to Antalya and Bodrum in June.”

Qatar Airways currently operates direct flights to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport twice a day, 10 times a week to Istanbul Ataturk Airport and 3 times a week to Adana Shakirpasa Airport, There are daily direct flights to Ankara Esenboga Airport and 3 weekly direct flights to Hatay Airport, bringing the total to 37 weekly flights between Doha and Turkey.

As the global launch customer of the Airbus A350-1000, the award-winning airline is pleased to offer passengers the widest cabin in the sky, featuring Qsuite Business Class seats. Qsuite features the industry’s first business class fully lie-flat double bed, a revolutionary quad bed design that offers passengers a private and fully adaptable space – the first and only of its kind – in addition to a removable TV monitor and privacy dividers to transform the space into a perfect social spot.

The A350-1000 is Airbus’ largest twin-aisle wide-body aircraft. The fuselage of the A350-1000 is 7 meters longer, allowing 40% more space for premium cabin products than its smaller sibling, the A350-900. The A350-1000 has 46 business class seats and 281 economy class seats. It is a true long-range aircraft with a range of 8,000 nautical miles (14,800 km) in service.

The airline also recently took delivery of its fourth state-of-the-art Gulfstream G650ER business jet, the world’s fastest ultra-long-range business jet, making Qatar Airways the largest owner-operator of a Gulfstream G650ER in the world.

In addition to boasting an impressive range of up to 7,500 nautical miles at Mach 0.85, the G650 ER also boasts a top speed of Mach 0.925. Inside, the G650 ER cabin features an award-winning quiet and spacious interior with generous seating, wide aisles, panoramic windows, Internet and phone access and the lowest cabin altitude in the industry.

Qatar Airways will begin operating Boeing B787s between Doha and Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokzen International Airport from 1 July to accommodate increased traffic to and from the famous destination during the summer months.
