Prithvi Shaw denies posting Valentine’s Day story, says his viral pic was ‘edited’ | Offsite News

New Delhi: India’s opening batsmen Prithvi Shaw On Tuesday, he issued a clarification about a viral screenshot image of his alleged Instagram Story on Valentine’s Day, calling it an “edited” image.
Shaw’s Instagram story went viral on the social media platform with the caption: “Happy Valentine’s Day my wife,” along with a sweet photo of Shaw with a girl.Girl in viral pic is alleged to be model and actress nidi tapadiya.

After a screenshot of the Instagram story went viral, Shaw issued a clarification, saying he didn’t post the story and urging his followers to ignore it because it was “edited” by someone else.
“Somebody edited my pics and showed stuff I didn’t put on my story or page. So ignore all hashtags and messages (messages) thx,” Shaw wrote on Instagram Stories.

Shaw returned to the Indian national team in the recently concluded T20I series against New Zealand, but the opening batsman failed to break into the starting XI in the three-match series. Shaw admitted he didn’t anticipate being recalled.
Shaw was outstanding on the domestic tour, scoring 332 runs in 181.42 offs, with a high of 134 against Assam in the Saeed Moustaq Ali Trophy. He was second in last year’s race.
