Philtoa’s 4th General Assembly Celebrates Love for the Philippines – Travel

Association of Tour Operators welcomes new members as it prepares for the 34th Philippine Travel Mart, the country’s largest travel expo

August 10, 2023– Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco commended the efforts of the country’s travel agencies to improve tourism to popular and emerging destinations and expressed appreciation to the Philippine Association of Travel Agents )’s “Inclusive Tourism” on the occasion of the 4th Group General Meeting (GMM) at the Crimson Hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

“We recognize that there are several emerging destinations across the country that have the potential to become key destinations for the tourism industry if given the proper assistance, attention, development and promotion. Philtoa President Fe Abling-Yu also announced the upcoming 34th Philippine Travel Mart, which will be held from September 1-3 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, the Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City. . The largest annual travel expo will feature nearly 200 exhibitors (occupying 300 booths) from all 17 regions of the Philippines, ranging from hotels to resorts, travel agencies, tour operators and tourism offices. The one-stop shop allows travel fair visitors to easily select vacation packages from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Visitors to PTM will be able to enjoy discounts and benefits that are only applicable to on-site bookings.

Bacolod, the “super city”

The fourth edition of GMM’s focus destination is Bacolod City, a growing “megacity” that invites local and international visitors to discover the latest tourism developments in the City of Smiles – from infrastructure to food, arts, culture and legacy and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) initiatives.
