Things you need to do before you visit or return to Malaysia

From April 1st, all fully vaccinated international tourists can enter Malaysia without quarantine and we bet many of you are excited 😉 Before your trip to Malaysia, whether you are returning home or going On vacation, here’s a list of things you need to do!
1. Required Documents
All fully vaccinated international tourists and returning Malaysian citizens are required to download the MySejahtera Tracking App here and complete the pre-departure travel form located in the “Traveler” icon of the MySejahtera app via this link to enter Malaysia. For travellers with a vaccine certificate issued overseas, you will need to verify your digital Covid-19 vaccine certificate via this link. If you have done this on the MySejahtera app before, you can skip this step.
2. Required tests
On Thursday (March 24), Singapore and Malaysia jointly said, No more pre-departure or on-arrival testing for land passengers 🥳 Children 12 and under who are not fully vaccinated will also no longer be required to undergo pre-departure and on-arrival tests or provide stay-at-home notices.However, travellers entering Malaysia from Singapore air transport COVID-19 ART, not PCR testing, will be required two days prior to departure. Please note that VTL bus tickets are still valid. However, some vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers must undergo a mandatory 5-day quarantine at their own accommodation. They should have RT-PCR testing on day 4 of isolation, or a specialized rapid antigen test (RTK-Ag) on day 5 of isolation. If they test negative, they can be released from isolation on day 5. If they test positive, they must continue to isolate for 5 days. Check out this link to learn more about the status of the vaccine.
Credit: Unsplash3. Short-term foreign tourists visiting Malaysia need to purchase insurance (non-Malaysian only)
All short-term foreign tourists are required to purchase COVID-19 travel insurance for their medical and hospitalization expenses related to COVID-19 in Malaysia, Minimum coverage is $20,000. This applies to all short-term foreign tourists (excluding Malaysians) regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination or recovery status. Insurance should be purchased from a Malaysian or overseas insurance company before travelling to Malaysia. What you need to do before you visit or return to Singapore
Singapore has cancelled the VTL and will transition to a new simplified travel framework – the Travel Framework for Vaccinations – from April 1. Countries and territories will be divided into two categories – general travel or restricted categories. Malaysia falls under the general tourism category. Here’s everything you need to know before entering Singapore! 😌

All fully vaccinated international tourists and returning Singapore citizens are required to download the TraceTogether app via this link. In addition, all passengers, Including Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents and Long Term Pass holdersmust Complete their SG Arrival Card within three days of arrival at the checkpoint. You can find a link to the card here. All travellers arriving in Singapore can submit their digital vaccination certificates in advance using the Vaccination Check Portal on the SafeTravel website. This is only optional and is for added assurance. You can find more information here.
2. Required tests
While travelling to Singapore by land does not guarantee a Covid-19 test, you do need Take a PCR test or professionally administered ART test within 2 days before your flight to Singapore. This also applies to partially vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers. Some vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers are also required to provide a 7-day stay-at-home notice (SHN) at the declared SHN accommodation and undergo PCR testing after their SHN ends.
3. Short-term visitors to Singapore also need to purchase insurance (non-Singaporeans only)
Travellers should also be insured Minimum coverage of $22,000 Any medical expenses related to COVID-19. Insurance can be purchased through Singapore or overseas insurance companies, you can find examples of insurance companies at this link.
Credit: Unsplash4. Two additional documents for land travel (for foreign registered vehicles only)
From April 1, there will no longer be any caps on the number of daily road passengers, and only about 4,000 people will be allowed on designated Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) buses per day. For the first time in two years, you can finally take your own personal transport, car or motorbike across the Causeway and Second Link for your usual weekend trip 🤩 Please note that you will need these two important documents when you enter Singapore by land : Valid Autopass card and Land Transport Authority (LTA) approval email. This only applies to foreign registered cars and motorcycles. The Autopass card is used as an Electronic Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) to record the entry of a vehicle into Singapore and to pay all entry and exit charges when the vehicle is driven out of Singapore.You can only Apply for VEP online from March 31, via the VEP digital service on the LTA OneMotoring website. You can also update your VEP’s road tax and insurance expiry date through the same link. You will also need to receive a VEP approval email from LTA before entering Singapore.
Please note that if you are unable to provide both documents, you will be denied entry to Singapore. LTA expects more applications in the coming weeks, so please plan your intended travel date at least two weeks in advance to allow sufficient time for VEP application and approval. The LTA has also advised against travel to Singapore for leisure for the time being to allow those with essential travel needs such as employment or family reunion to come to Singapore.
