The Film Development Board has issued a warning not to broadcast the last eight matches of the World Cup soccer tournament currently in Qatar. Bhuvan KC, Chairman of the Board of Directors, in the discussion hall preparing for the screening of the World Cup, warned that if the World Cup is broadcast live, we will take action and stated that only movies have the right to be shown.
The KC chairman said the board had also sent a notification of the letter to all district administrative offices and the Nepal Film Association, warning that legal action would be taken if the regulations were not followed. “We also inform that the film will be exhibited in cinemas only under the conditions complied by the licensee in Schedule 7 of the license to show the film,” he said.
