“Moshimo Shokudo” is a shared kitchen where various chefs and restaurants offer various cuisines for a limited time. So far, we have cooperated with star restaurants, chefs, etc. “What if the chef of a luxury store works in a casual restaurant?” “What if” has become a reality.

Yuri Komiyayama, who is known as a curry maniac because he loves curry and wrote a curry recipe book, carefully selected 4 well-known rural restaurants that he can’t usually go to. For this event, the chef of Maoxia Canteen personally visited various restaurants and learned the recipes.

Pakistani curry at famous restaurant “Zaika Curry House” in Toyama
Let’s have some curry!
This is “Mutton Karahi” 1265 yen from the Pakistani restaurant “Zaika Curry House” in Izumi City, Toyama Prefecture.
Since many Pakistanis live in Imizu, there are many Pakistani restaurants. “Zaika Curry House” is a restaurant opened by a Pakistani chef who can be called a master. It is a 30-minute drive from Shinkansen Toyama Station.
By the way, “Karahi” is the name of a pot shaped like a wok, which is representative of curry in Pakistan. I was overwhelmed by the softness of the stir-fried lamb! Concentrated sweetness and umami of onions and tomatoes.
Add raita (unsweetened yogurt salad) as a side dish for a zesty kick.
Sri Lankan curry from Sri Lankan tea and curry shop “Kochayasan” in Saitama Prefecture
This is “Sri Lankan curry chicken” 1,265 yen from the Sri Lankan tea curry shop “Kochayasan” in Omiya-ku, Saitama Prefecture. The milk tea shop is only open for lunch, and it is full of 5 people every day, and it is fully booked at most one month in advance.
There are many vegetables in the side dishes such as Seeni Sambol (onion salad), eggplant Moju (eggplant salad), Pol Sambol (coconut shavings). The seasoning is simple, and the taste makes people want to have another bite.

For now, it’s a hallucination flavor that’s only available in online stores, special events, and festivals.
To start, you can eat straight rice seasoned with lemon and spices, followed by side dishes such as onion sauce and pickled radish, followed by chicken curry.
Although it is completely different from Japanese curry, it has a taste that Japanese people like. No wonder it attracted a lot of attention once it opened.
This time, I tried to compare 4 different ways of eating curry. To my surprise, even if I only said one word curry, they were completely different. At the same time, I also lamented that there are so many different curries in the world.
