This year’s event is made up of several event components: a Philippine seminar to introduce and update the Japanese tourism industry on major developments in the Philippine tourism industry; a business-to-business (B2B) conference, which is expected to target more than 120 Japanese Travel industry buyers, one-on-one business discussions with Filipino sellers and use the Filipino reception as a venue for additional business networking.

The Philippine delegation was led by Nograles and the Undersecretary of Administration and Finance of the Department of Transportation. Shereen Gail C. Yu-Pamintuan joined the event with local Filipino sellers comprising more than 60 suppliers from the travel industry including hotels, resorts and airlines.

Nograles said the business delegation visiting Japan will highlight the relaunch of new Philippine tourism products, exciting developments in the Philippine tourism industry, and the reopening of the Philippine border to Japanese tourists for safety and new normal travel.

As the top international trade show for the Philippine tourism industry, TPB aims to generate sales leads, secure business deals and gather market intelligence for ongoing and effective marketing efforts.
