“Magic Thailand Roadshow” in Chongqing, Beijing and Nanjing, China
Recently, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and representatives of Thai tour operators conducted roadshows in three cities in China to promote Thailand’s high-quality tourism experience to Chinese tourists.
The 2023 Phuket & Andaman + China Roadshow will be held from April 17 to 21, 2023, starting from Chongqing on April 17, arriving in Beijing on April 19, and arriving in Nanjing on April 21. The roadshow followed the “Wonderful Thailand Wonderful New Chapter China Roadshow 2023”, which toured in Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou in February.
Tanes Petsuwan, TAT’s vice-president of international marketing for Asia and the South Pacific, said the focus of the roadshow was to promote quality tourism experiences in Thailand, with a particular focus on the wide range of tourism products and services on offer in Phuket and the nearby Andaman coastal region. He added that he was pleased to see lively negotiations between Thai suppliers and Chinese tour operators, as well as continued confidence in Thailand as a favored destination for Chinese tourists.
Amazing Thailand Road Show to China 2023, Phuket & the Andaman+ has 38 hotel and resort operators, 6 travel agencies, 6 tourist destinations, 3 other types of tour operators and 3 TAT strategic partners. It is reported that in the road show on April 17, more than 200 Chinese tourism professionals from 101 companies participated in the business negotiation and latest developments of Thailand tourism.
The roadshow also raised awareness of Tourism Authority of Thailand’s recent marketing campaign targeting the Chinese market, highlighting Thailand’s status as a preferred travel destination for Chinese tourists, while also promoting a range of high-quality tourism products and services that cater to the lifestyle of Chinese tourists .
Tanes pointed out that China is an important tourism market for Thailand, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand expects that this year’s China Roadshow will help Thailand achieve its goal of receiving 9 million Chinese tourists by 2023. (NNT)
