JNTO launches new website in collaboration with influencers, introducing various charms of Japanese travel
Eight Hong Kong internet celebrity groups share their travel experiences in 19 prefectures in Japan
Hong Kong, January 17, 2023–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Hong Kong Office of the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) has launched two new Traditional Chinese websites: Video Site “Discover a new sense of Japan” Influencers representing different travel styles documenting their unique travels in videos to introduce the destinations they have visited, and a travel blog site “Journey to Japan Hand in Hand” Influencers feature various themed destinations for couples in their travel blog posts. A total of 8 influential groups on the two sites introduce the uniqueness of Japan through food, nature, traditional culture, and history, covering 19 prefectures and 20 itineraries. New videos and travel blog content will be posted regularly until March 2023.

Discover a new sense of Japan
On October 11, 2022, Japan will significantly relax entry restrictions, allowing individual tourists from Hong Kong to travel to Japan again. In 2019, the number of Hong Kong tourists to Japan hit a record high of about 2.3 million, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of tourists dropped to just 1,200 in 2021.
Passengers from Hong Kong have increased since the relaxation of border measures, from 2,800 in September 2022 to 83,000 in November 2022.
For Hong Kongers who have been eagerly awaiting the easing of entry restrictions, the Hong Kong office of the Japan National Tourism Organization is providing information on tourist attractions, including off-the-beaten-track areas.
In this event, the four well-known online celebrity groups in Hong Kong will introduce four different travel modes of “Girls Travel”, “Family Travel”, “Solo Travel” and “Couple Vacation” through videos. In addition, the five internet celebrity couples will also introduce 16 destinations for couples in their travel blog posts with the themes of “hot springs”, “nature”, “anniversary travel” and “wedding photos”.

Inaugural itinerary features female influencer groups”Japanese Mushroom Mushroom JAPAN GoGoGo” introduces their trip to Kyoto Prefecture with a “Girls Travel” themed promotional video and vlog.
The latest couple travel blog site “Travel Japan Hand in Hand”
this Travel blog site “Hand in Hand Travel in Japan” Focusing on “couple travel”, we will introduce 16 wonderful 2-day, 1-night itineraries from the perspective of couple internet celebrities.
Travel vlogs produced by influencers will also be featured on four of the itineraries.
The first four published works are “Nature” theme tour arrive and do this and Nagano Prefectures by couple influencer “Kazenobuko and her husband”, Okayama Prefecture “Luxury Travel” Theme Tour and “spa” Shiga Prefecture Theme Tour Among them is the travel vlog of another couple influencer, “Elsie & Alfred”.
The remaining 15 content will be published regularly until March 2023.
