iri announces details of 3rd album “Shade” Shinichi Osawa, tofubeats and others participate for the first time – Spincoaster
Details of iri’s third album ‘Shade’ to be released on Wednesday, March 6 have been announced.
This work was aired as the TV commercial song of the International Fashion Institute, and included a total of 11 songs including the single “Only One” and its linkage song “Flight” released in August last year. Newly recorded songs include Shinichi Osawa, tofubeats, Grooveman Spot, Shingo.S, Jungo Miura (PETROLZ), Ippei Sawamura & Motosa Sumigaki (SANABAGUN.), who participated in the production and arrangement of iri for the first time. In addition, Jianji English (Wednesday Campanella), STUTS and ESME MORI (Pistachio Studio), who have participated in iri’s works, are also involved.
About this album, iri said: “Through this album ‘Shade’, I express my inner shadow. Even if there is a negative part, I decided to express it as it was then and leave it. Besides, there are many wonderful Song, please look forward to it.”
The full limited edition comes with an illustrated t-shirt drawn by graffiti artist KYNE, a graffiti artist familiar with the cover of iri EP “life ep”. The first limited edition is CD+DVD. This DVD contains the MV for the album’s title song “Shade”, a summary of the live action taken during the visit to Taiwan last year, the production of the MV, and a documentary “iri in Taiwan”. Additionally, Tower Records announced that they will be running a campaign where 20 people who purchase the album will be entered into a raffle to win an original hoodie with a limited-edition t-shirt design.
In addition, after the release of the album, he will hold the largest nationwide tour starting with EXTHEATER ROPPONGI in Tokyo on April 5 (Friday).
