IPL: Yuzvendra Chahal breaks silence on RCB decision to release him
After nearly two years, Yuzvendra Chahal has finally broken his silence and was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
After being snubbed by the now-Favre du Plessis-led team, the spinner said it was a bad feeling because when you spend eight years on a team, it feels like Like family.
“There were a lot of rumours, like I asked for a lot of money. I clarified at the time that there was no such thing. I knew I deserved it,” he said in Ranveer Allahbadiya’s podcast on YouTube.
“What makes me feel really bad is no phone calls, no communication. At least talk. I’ve played 114 games for them. At the auction, they promised me they would give it their all for me. I said, Well. I was so angry when I wasn’t picked. I gave them 8 years. Chinnaswamy is my favorite place. I didn’t talk to RCB coach. My first match against them Game, I didn’t speak to anyone,” Chahal added.
