Indore: Rlys cancels 26 trains for line doubling work | Indore News

Indore: The railway has accelerated its track doubling of the Indore-Dewas-Ujjain block, thus canceling as many as 26 trains, diverting a total of 58 trains and 14 trains in the Ratlam sector with short-haul termination/origination.
According to PRO Khemraj Meena of the Ratlam department, it has been proposed to lay a double track between Kadcha-Badlai station under the Indore-Dewas-Ujjain block and thus, 26 trains will be running from February 10-24. These trains include 09200/99 Bhopal-Ujjain-Bhopal Express, 19304/03 Bhopal-Indore-Bhopal Express, 19344/43 Bhandarkund-Indore-Bhandarkund Express, 22983/84 Kota-Indore-Kota Express, 09587/88 Nagada-Indore- Nagada Express, 09197/98/09541/42/09559/60 Special between Dr Ambedkar Nagar and Indore, 09351/52/53/54 Special between Ujjain and Indore, 09536/35 Ratlam-Dr Ambedkar Nagar-Ratlam Special , 19324/23 Bhopal-Dr Ambedkar Nagar-Bhopal and 19339/40 Dahod-Bhopal-Dahod Express.
Apart from this, a total of 58 trains have had their routes rerouted between February 10 and 23, most of which originate/terminate at Indore and Ratlam stations. During the same period, a total of 14 trains terminated/originated and canceled short distances between Ujjain and Dr Ambedkar Nagar, Ujjain and Indore, Maksi and Indore to pave the way for the work to double the tracks. According to senior railway officials, doubling of tracks between Kadcha-Badlai stations under Indore-Dewas-Ujjain block is inevitable, hence, the same is planned for cancellation/diversion and short-haul termination/originating trains, To make it possible to minimize the inconvenience to passengers. “In this year’s budget, the Ratlam department has earmarked a total of Rs 2,281.01 crore for laying new lines, gauge conversion, doubling and yard improvement,” Meena said, adding that senior officials concerned had started work on identifying the same s project.Neural Networks
