Indian tourist attacked by transvestite on Pattaya Beach Road

Paramedics treat Tibruvar for a deep head wound after he was attacked by a group of transvestites on a beach road.

Pattaya, Thailand – Pattaya’s image as a haven for safe travel was tarnished when tourist police responded swiftly to a violent altercation between an Indian tourist and a group of transvestites on August 11. The incident happened near the Baywalk Shopping Center on the bustling Pattaya Beach Road.

When tourist police arrived at the scene, they saw a disturbing scene as the group of transvestites clashed with 39-year-old Indian tourist Ankit Tibrewal. Tibruvar suffered apparent wounds, including bleeding from the mouth and head trauma from blunt force. His shirt was stained with blood and he had scrapes and bruises on his arms and hands.

According to Tibruvar, his disagreements with a group of transvestites erupted when he was accosted by a group of transvestites as he was walking along Beach Road to the hotel. He believes one of them took his phone during the physical contact and demanded it be returned. This simple request turned into a heated argument that culminated in a physical altercation.

After both parties issued a statement at the police station, the authorities offered to send Tibruvar to a local hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. However, he politely declined the offer, opting to return to the hotel. The police respected his decision and provided him with an escort.

Meanwhile, transvestite groups embroiled in the row have shown a lack of cooperation, saying they intend to file a complaint against Tibruvar. To complicate matters, their behavior became confrontational during the reporting process, brandishing cellphones and cameras to intimidate journalists present.

Law enforcement has seized the opportunity to educate both parties on the legal implications of such confrontations and stress the importance of maintaining tranquility in a prominent tourist hub like Pattaya. An altercation of this nature could result in penalties for all parties involved, officials clarified. Therefore, the cross-dressing group chose to disperse in order to resolve the situation and avoid further escalation of the situation.
