Huawei Cambodia and MekongNet join forces to provide better Internet services
The Cambodian arm of tech giant Huawei and leading internet service provider MekongNet have agreed to collaborate to provide better internet services and connectivity in Cambodia.
The latest partnership between the two parties was signed on Wednesday at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The signing took place during Huawei Connect 2022, which was held in the Thai capital from September 19 to 21.
Huawei Cambodia Business Director Zhao Zhongyang and Mekong Networks Chief Technology Officer Chan Ty signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
MekongNet CEO Sok Channda, President of Huawei Asia Pacific Enterprise Business Group Nicholas Ma, Huawei Cambodia CEO Sovann Yao and other senior officials of the two companies witnessed the signing.
Channda noted in her message: “This is a special day for Huawei and MekongNet. We are delighted to partner with one of the world’s leading communication solutions companies.”
“After this, we hope to work more closely with Huawei to bring new products and share technological solutions to Cambodia in the future,” she said.
For his part, Nicholas talked about the company’s global and local reach.
“We’re a technology provider. We’ve been serving the world for 35 years,” he said. “As a technology provider, we are very passionate about sharing our technology, experience and values with society at large.”
Nicholas also commended Sovann Yao for successfully leading the company in Cambodia.
“Under Sovann’s hard work, we are serving the Cambodian market,” he emphasized.
Huawei has been doing business in Cambodia since 1999.
“I understand that there is a huge market potential in Cambodia. Many households need the best quality broadband connection and the best service,” Nicholas pointed out.
Nicholas described the occasion as a “big moment”.
“Today is definitely an important moment for us. Huawei and MekongNet join hands to provide better connectivity and better services to the people of Cambodia,”
“I hope we can contribute our strength and that of MekongNet to achieve greater success in the Cambodian market,” he concluded.
