Wednesday’s shooting locations to review for your Romania trip

Bucharest

The Romanian capital, Bucharest, appears in several scenes in the series. The Botanical Gardens, University of Politehnica, and Casa Monteoru are all featured. Politehnica University is where the fired Wednesday school was shot in episode 1. The Arboretum is the greenhouse of Nevermore Academy, and Casa Monteoru is where the interior of Nevermore Academy was filmed.

Cantacuccino Castle

This stunning castle is located in Busteni, Romania. The castle fits very well with the theme of the story, it is shown as a place of neo-Gothic architecture. The castle served as the school’s exterior location, and the design of the castle’s roof was reportedly digitally altered to fit the story. Built in 1911 for Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, the castle is open to visitors with parks, fountains, courtyards, churches, etc.

Casa Monte Oro

Casa Monteoru is located in Bucharest, Romania, and while we know Bucharest has been featured, this house deserves a special mention. The house is the interior of Nevermore Academy, where Wednesday finally made some friends.

Buftea Studio

Buftea Studios, 12 miles away, is where all of the show’s sets were built. Scenes in Jericho, Nevermore’s courtyard house, and Sherrif’s home were filmed here.These studios are also home to several other projects such as Around the World in 80 Days series, navigatorand inner demon Was filmed and will be a great place to visit.

Niculescu-Dorobantu family

Another castle-like home emerges in Wednesday It is Casa Niculescu-Doborantu. The building, also located in Budapest, was built in the French Neo-Gothic style. Its ornate staircase and stained glass windows feature in some scenes inside Nevermore Academy and create a stunning visual effect.
