Etihad adds second daily flight to Manila


Etihad Airways will increase daily flights to Manila to strengthen air connectivity between the UAE and the Philippines.

A second daily flight will launch on October 30, offering guests a total of 14 weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and the Philippine capital.

Both daily frequencies will operate on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the most modern and fuel-efficient aircraft in the sky.

The combined twice-daily flights will see Etihad Airways offer 450,000 seats annually between Abu Dhabi and Manila, representing a 75% increase in capacity year-on-year.

The increased frequency will also increase total annual cargo volume to nearly 30,000 tonnes, opening up further business opportunities and supporting growth in bilateral trade.

“As one of our largest point-to-point travel marketplaces, Etihad is proud to offer our guests more choice and make travel between the UAE and Manila even easier,” said Martin Drew, Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Cargo explain.

“Our twice-daily service will provide the large number of Filipinos in the UAE with easy access to visit family and loved ones, and support the revival of tourism as more holidaymakers flock to explore the stunning islands of the Philippines. “

In Southeast Asia, this winter, Etihad will fly between Abu Dhabi and Manila (14 weekly), Bangkok (14), Phuket (7), Singapore (7), Kuala Lumpur (7) There are 56 weekly flights between Jakarta and Jakarta (7). )
