Dubai named world’s most popular tourist destination in 2023

The emirate beats out Bali, Paris and Rome in Tripadvisor’s 2023 Travellers’ Choice Awards…

Dubai has been named the world’s most popular destination for the second year in a row, according to Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice ‘Best of the Best’ awards 2023.

The travel booking and review platform has just released its ‘Best of the Best Destinations’ list based on reviews and ratings collected over the past 12 months, with Dubai beating London, Marrakech, Bali and Paris, among others, Claim the coveted top spot.

The top 10 most popular destinations on Tripadvisor for 2023 are:

1. Dubai, United Arab Emirates
2. Bali, Indonesia
3. London, UK
4. Rome, Italy
5. Paris France
6. Cancun, Mexico
7. Crete, Greece
8. Marrakech, Morocco
9. Dominican Republic
10. Istanbul, Türkiye

The best destinations are considered the highest honor and crowned based on the quality and number of reviews given in each subcategory, such as hotels, restaurants and things to do.

Things to look forward to in 2023
