With the World Health Organization (WHO) declaring COVID-19 no longer a global health emergency three years after the virus broke out, there has been a significant and rapid increase in the number of people trying to make up for the time and experience lost to the pandemic. “Revenge travel” has become an internet buzzword as travel restrictions ease and borders open.

The Philippines is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Southeast Asia, with rich biodiversity, numerous heritage towns, tropical rainforests and pristine tropical beaches, etc. Its location on the Pacific Ocean gives it some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Boracay and Palawan were recently awarded and recognized as the top islands in Asia. Boracay, in particular, was voted one of the world’s best islands in the 2022 Conde Nast Traveler (CNT) Readers’ Choice Awards.

A large number of overseas Filipinos, including Bangladeshis, are known for our friendliness, hospitality, and pride in our culture and country. Capitalizing on the presence of Filipinos overseas and the friendships and connections they have made with foreigners, the Philippine government has launched the Bisita, Be My Guest (BBMG) program, an incentive travel campaign that capitalizes on the hospitality of Filipinos overseas and friendly.

Foreign nationals who have Filipino friends and/or ties to the Philippines and travel to the country between January 1, 2023 and April 30, 2024 may participate in activities abroad. Overseas Filipinos (“Sponsors”) can register at to receive a unique link that they can share with their non-Filipino friends who are traveling to the Philippines and wish to participate in the program.

Both Filipinos as sponsors and foreign nationals as “invitees”/visitors have the opportunity to enter the sweepstakes and win exciting prizes. In addition, participating foreign citizens can use the “BBMG Tourist Passport” to earn stamps at specific tourist attractions and activities in the following destinations: Ilocos, Cebu, Davao, Bohol, Baguio, Bataan, Belize Cole, Camiguin, Leyte, Siargao, and two award-winning Philippine islands, Boracay and Palawan. Participating tourists can also use the BBMG Premier Card to enjoy special offers and discounts from approved travel companies.

Bangladeshis looking for new places to visit during their upcoming holidays should seriously consider visiting the Philippines and stand a chance to get special discounts and win special prizes through this program. We encourage them to take the first step on an exciting adventure – connect or reconnect with their Filipino friends, visit and brag about their visit to one of the world’s top islands (or why not both?), and participate in the plan.

Don’t have a Filipino friend/contact yet? close to one. They are known for their friendliness and friendliness, and they may invite you to their home when you visit the Philippines!
