Manila has recently been easing virus restrictions, as daily Covid-19 cases hovered at their lowest levels since the start of the year. About a third of the country’s 110 million people are now fully vaccinated.
Manila lifted its coronavirus ban on travelers from the UAE in early September.
In November 2021, the Southeast Asian country added the UAE to its “green list”, meaning that fully vaccinated passengers will not need to undergo facility quarantine if their Covid-19 PCR test is negative and valid for less than 72 hours before departure .
However, on December 3, it implemented new quarantine and testing requirements under the Omicron threat.
Here is a step-by-step guide to traveling from the UAE to the Philippines:
- Negative PCR test with 72 hour expiration date required
- Facility-based quarantine until negative results are issued
- On the fifth day, travelers must undergo swab testing
- Passengers must undergo 14-day home quarantine upon arrival
- Minors should follow parent/guardian testing and quarantine protocols
