Bali young woman dies after motorcycle collides with bus
A young woman’s life on holiday in Bali was tragically cut short after a horrific bus and motorbike collision.
The 22-year-old Belarusian tourist was driving a rental motorcycle in the left lane when a bus tried to overtake her.
Police confirmed that the incident occurred on Jalan Sutomo in central Denpasar on April 24.
After arriving at the crime scene, the bus driver overtaken from the right and hit a Yamaha Nmax DK 3915 FCJ motorcycle, causing the accident. He confirmed that the tourists died on the spot from severe head injuries.
AKP Sukadi said there were no other factors contributing to the incident and the bus driver was not in police custody.
The tourist’s tragic death is just one of many recent tragedies to hit Bali’s roads.
The number of reported traffic accidents in Bali has doubled in the past 12 months and more deaths are reported to police almost daily, urging people traveling there to reconsider driving.
