Ayodhya Haat to be another temple town attraction

Ayodhya Haat will appear at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Ghat on the banks of the Saryu River, adding to the temple town’s many tourist attractions feature.

The Ayodhya Development Authority will lead the project to turn the religious town into a tourist destination.

Ayodhya Development Authority officials said Ayodhya Haat will also bring changes to the area around the ghat.

Announcing the project, Ayodhya Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal said the project would also stimulate the local economy.

Ayodhya Haat will feature specially designed stalls selling handicrafts from local artisans. It will also feature floating restaurants and cruise ship services to increase its appeal to tourists.

Ramcourt Cottage will be available for those who want to live in Ghat. A jetty will also be built at the Chaudhary Charan Singh ghat.

Cultural programmes, laser shows and musical fountains will add to the beauty of Ayodhya Haat.

Dayal assured that Hart Hotel will maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and environmental protection. The project is part of the Yogi Adityanath government’s plan to transform Ayodhya into a prominent religious tourism destination.

The Ayodhya government expects a significant increase in tourist numbers after the Ram Temple opens to devotees next January. (source HT)
