Avoid decorating your home walls with these paintings and photos
Vastu Shastra is a traditional Indian science of architecture which lays down several rules regarding the placement of paintings in houses. Many people buy new paintings and hang them without thinking about Vastu. The same goes for family portraits and photos. According to Vastu, while some images bring joy, others may bring misfortune and anxiety. There are many pictures of animals and birds that should not be placed in a house. It is said that pictures of doves, crows, vultures, owls and eagles are not allowed in the home. Pictures of snakes and reptiles should also not be in the home. All of this is considered to have a negative impact on your place.
Let’s take a look at the do’s and don’ts when placing photos or paintings aligned with Vastu Shastra in your home.
Don’t put pictures of three people: When you put a picture of your family in any room of the house, take special care not to put pictures of more than three people. According to Vastu, pictures of three family members on the wall are not considered auspicious. The photos of the three friends should not be posted either.
Dark Drawings: Do you have any photos that give off a negative vibe? Pictures of ghosts, evil or devils should never be placed in a bedroom. If you have such photos, it is recommended that you remove them from your home entirely.
War Paintings: You shouldn’t have disturbing images in your bedroom. A painting of a lonely animal or human can make you feel alone. Pictures of the war should also not be kept in bedrooms, as this could cause division among residents.
Shipwrecks or Rising Ships: Most people decorate their houses with pictures and paintings of shipwrecks or standing ships. Avoid doing this. According to Vastu Shastra, pictures of sunken, damaged or stationary boats or ships can bring sadness.
Images of a sunset or the Mahabharata War: Do not post pictures of a sunset or the Mahabharata War in your home. Such pictures will bring depression to your place.
