Avani Hotels Announces European and South American Expansion Plans

Thailand’s Minor Group has unveiled plans for the expansion of the company’s Avani Hotels & Resorts in Europe and South America.

The brand will add five new hotels in major European cities: one in Spain, two in Italy, one in Germany and one in the Netherlands next year, while in Central and South America, Avani hotels will open in Mexico and Colombia.

Avani will debut in Spain in June with the first strategic addition, the rebranded 101-room Avani Alonso Martínez Madrid Hotel (pictured).

In Italy, the brand will launch the rebranding of two hotels – first the 65-room Avani Palazzo Moscova Milan Hotel in June, followed by the 144-room Avani Rio Novo Venice Hotel.

Avani will also debut in Germany later this year, with 256 keys at the rebranded Avani Frankfurt City Hotel.

Also in Europe, Avani will enter the Netherlands in 2024 with the launch of a 163-room hotel in Amsterdam: The rebranded Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam Hotel, located in one of the most dynamic areas of the Dutch capital, will join the The brand’s product portfolio.

The Bangkok-based company is also preparing to launch the brand in Latin America, where it plans to add two Avani portfolios and launch two rebranded hotels later this year.

Regional operations will begin in one of Central America’s key tourist destinations with the launch of the 140-room Avani Cancun Airport Hotel in Mexico in the third quarter, followed by the launch of the 66-room Avani Royal Zona T Bogota Hotel in Colombia in the fourth quarter .

Launched in 2011, Avani Hotels & Resorts currently has 38 hotels in 20 countries in Asia, Australasia, Middle East, Indian Ocean, Africa and one hotel in Portugal in Europe.
