Australia invites Singapore tourists to come and say hello to ‘Australia Special’
Singaporeans choose among 17 partners with attractive travel offers.
Singapore – Dreaming of a trip to Australia?Flash sale Tourism AustraliaThe Virtual Travel Fair, offering exclusive fares and discounts on flights, hotels, tours, car rentals and experiences. This is the fourth of the much-anticipated travel promotion, which runs from now until 9 April 2023.
The announcement comes on the back of Tourism Australia’s latest campaign, ‘Say hello’which combines well-known and loved icons, stunning scenery and warm Australian hospitality to remind the world why there is nowhere quite like Australia.
As part of the online exhibition, Tourism Australia is partnering with five major airlines – Singapore Airlines, Qantas, Scoot, Malaysia Airlinesand AirAsia X – Provide fares.
Additionally, travel products ranging from hotels to adventure and leisure experiences have been added to offer exciting deals – for example, discounts of up to S$800 per couple on selected group tours. Available through our key distribution partners (Chan Brothers Travel, EU Holidays, PriceBreaker), online travel agencies (Cheaptickets.SG, Klook, Traveloka, Luxury Escapes), accommodation provider (TFE Hotels, Hyatt Hotels, Ovolo Group) and other partners (Hertz, THL Online).
The ‘Great Australian Deals’ show will be promoted through broadcast, outdoor, online and social media, and scaled up through partnerships with airlines and key distribution partners in Singapore. Having helped partner airlines complete over 43,300 bookings in previous editions, this year’s event aims to catalyze the recovery of the aviation industry and help boost visitor numbers in Australia to pre-COVID levels.
Comment on this year’s travel fair, AnlinTourism Australia’s Singapore country manager noted that Australia remains a top destination on Singaporeans’ travel lists and expects strong interest in this year’s travel fair. According to Tourism Australia’s latest consumer research, The Future of Demand, Australia is considered by one in two Singaporeans as their next holiday destination, with the majority citing shopping and relaxation as their top priority when traveling Task.

The influx of Singapore tourists into Australia has been steadily rising as borders reopened last year and travel was brought back to the fore. Of the 295,800 Singaporeans who traveled to Australia in 2022 (year ending September 2022), 81.9% were repeat leisure visits. Total visitor spending to Singapore was equivalent to A$798.7 million, of which A$520.3 million was spent by leisure tourists alone(1).
