The tiny Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan is known for taking “happiness” seriously. The country, which is based on the philosophy of Gross National Happiness, recently hosted a happy visitor from India – Andrea Jeremiah.

The Tamil singer-actress, who has won the affections of Malayali through films such as Annayum Rasoolum, shared some incredible hits on her recent trip to Bhutan. Her latest social media post was a photo of the “Punakha Dzong” aka the fort, known for being the second oldest and largest fort in the country. Beautiful location between Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers in Punakha Valley. Andrea said in her post, “It’s surrounded by jacarandas and is well worth seeing.”

Earlier, she also shared a photo of her in traditional Bhutanese dress with the caption “In another life”. Some time ago, actress Deepika Padukone also shared some beautiful photos from her trip to Bhutan.

Spring in Bhutan falls between March and May, which is considered the best time to visit the country. It is also known as “Azalea” season because the flowers are spread all over the country during these months.

It’s also apparently the month you get the best photos in the country. Some of the best places to visit in the country this season include Punakha Dzong, the valley town of Paro, the country’s capital Thimphu, the snow-capped peaks of Hagu and the Dochu La pass.
