Air India piss case: Complainant says ‘accused of attempting to spread misinformation’ The India News


New Delhi: Plaintiffs in Air India ‘piss’ case refute defendants’ claims Shankar Mishrasaying the purpose of doing so was to spread misinformation and further harassment.
Mishra is accused of urinating on the complainant while intoxicated on an Air India New York-Delhi flight on November 26. He has been arrested and is currently in judicial custody.

Speaking at a counter, Mishra said the 70-year-old female complainant had urinated on herself.

During Friday’s hearing, the defendant submitted through his attorney, “The seat of the plaintiff woman is blocked. It is impossible for him (Mishra) to go there. The woman has incontinence issues. She urinates on herself. She is a Kathak dancer, 80% of Kathak dancers have this problem.”
The lawyer even questioned the ongoing investigation by the Delhi Police.

Responding to Mishra’s allegations, the complainant said, “Instead of remorse for the extremely disgusting act he committed, the defendant took actions to spread misinformation and false information with the aim of further harassing the victim.”

“These allegations are completely false and fabricated and are demeaning and derogatory by their very nature. The above allegations are also completely contradictory and completely alter the defendant’s statement and guilty plea in the bail application,” said lawyer Ankur. Ankur Mahindro said. , representing the complainant, said in a statement.
Shankar Mishra was arrested by Delhi Police on January 6, 2023 in Bengaluru.
On 7 January, the Delhi Patiala Court sentenced him to 14 days of judicial detention.
He was also fired by his employer, the US-based financial services company Wells Fargo, after his name appeared in the “piss” incident.
