5 steps to win a free trip to Korea

What if you could do all of this and more for free? Yes, you can win a free trip to South Korea thanks to a special program run by the Korean government in partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization. This trip is part of the celebrations of the “2023-2024 Korea Tourism Year”.

Free Korea Tour – What’s Included?

Before we tell you the five steps you need to take to win a free trip to South Korea, you should know what’s included. You can get a 5 days and 4 nights tour that includes the following:

• Round trip air tickets to South Korea.
• Accommodation and travel insurance.
• Personalized travel package itinerary.

You can bring a Plus One, but they should be relevant to your story, or be a minor, or a senior, or a person with a disability.

The travel period is from May 20 to May 24, 2024.

Step 1: Check your eligibility

• You should be a non-Korean national residing outside Korea.
• You must have a passport and go through immigration formalities during your trip.

This competition accepts both individual registration and recommendation.

Step 2: Create a touching story

The main selection criterion for this competition is your story. Making it as personal and touching as possible is the best way to increase your chances of winning.

The theme of this competition is “My personal story, memory or connection to Korea.”

The idea is to create a connection with the country – it could be anything such as an encounter with a Korean person, a memory with a friend or a past visit to the country.

A great way to make a touching story is to be as real and emotional as possible, and to supplement the text with photos and videos.

Step 3: Submit your story

After preparing your story, you must visit the “Korea Invites U” website to submit your application.

• On the “Korea Invites U” website, look for the “Apply” button.
• Now paste your story into the text box. The maximum length is 3,000 characters, so keep it concise.
• You can choose to attach relevant photos and videos.
• Agree to the required terms and conditions.

The last date to submit an application is April 19, 2024.

Step 4: Prepare for the online interview

Shortlisted applicants may also be asked to attend a virtual interview, so make sure you remember your story and have all other relevant information ready in case you are called for a virtual interview.

Step 5: Check your application status

You can follow up and check the status of your application on the “Korea Invites U” website by entering your email address.
