The Japanese booklet “2021 TAIWAN BOOKSTAR” introduces Taiwanese books under the three themes of “Literary Dream”, “Life in the South”, and “Taiwan Craftsman”.

The cover of the Japanese booklet “2021 TAIWAN BOOKSTAR” was created by Chen Yuling, an award-winning illustrator at the Bologna International Picture Book Fair in Italy.
In recent years, with the deepening of friendly relations between Taiwan and Japan, Japan’s interest in Taiwan has gradually increased in various fields, and the published Taiwanese translations have also increased year by year. In this booklet, in order to make it easier for Japanese readers to find the book they want to read and to find out the book that suits them, the bookstore staff who are at the forefront and know the book best introduce Japanese readers to Japanese readers in the form of special editing. Sexual Taiwanese books. The booklet is divided into three themes: “Literary Dream”, “Life in the South”, and “Taiwan Craftsman”. The 18 books scheduled to be published will introduce Taiwanese books in detail. In addition, in order to let the Japanese understand Taiwanese artists, this booklet also covers the creative activities of representative Taiwanese artists such as Sai Sufen, He Jinyao, and Jiao Dong. The Japanese booklet “2021 TAIWAN BOOKSTAR” is based on the theme of the year “Dream of the Southern Kingdom” and releases 18 selected Taiwanese books.
In order to make “2021 TAIWAN BOOKSTAR” convey the image of Taiwan more clearly, we invited Chen Yuling, an award-winning illustrator at the Bologna International Picture Book Fair in Italy, to design the cover. Taiwan’s unique flora and fauna include Taiwan black bear and Emperor pheasant; Taiwan’s beautiful scenery includes Jiaming Lake, also known as Angel’s Tears; she depicts and expresses Taiwan’s rich and diverse nature and culture. In addition to introducing Taiwan’s excellent books, the Taiwan Cultural Center will also widely introduce booklet cover illustrations to help Taiwan’s outstanding illustrators gain recognition in Japan and open up the market.
