Once considered one of the finest castles in Europe, Pidhirtsi Castle was built in the 17th century by Stanislaw Koniecpolski, royal commander of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, according to Discover Ukraine.This impressive renaissance-style stone castle in western Ukraine was used for filming as part of the Golden Horseshoe tour D’Artagnan and the Three Musketeers 1978.
