14 Indian trading partners to attend New Zealand’s TRENZ 2023
Aotearoa New Zealand’s premier international B2B travel and trade event – TRENZ – recently concluded at Ōtautahi Christchurch with 1,500 delegates in attendance.
Over four days of appointments, showcases, events and networking, more than 300 New Zealand tourism businesses showcased their products and services to more than 330 quality international buyers from 25 markets, including India.
This year, 14 Indian tourism trade partners attended TRENZ, where they learned about the wide range of tourism products New Zealand has to offer – everything from regional tourism offices to hotels, attractions and inbound tour operators. Indian travel trade partners such as MakeMyTrip, Thomas Cook, Veena World, SOTC, Holidays and Beyond, Flag Holidays, The Travel Temple, Pristine Travels, Flamingo Travels, Ourania Travels, Travel Ties, Parul Tours, Urvi Tours and Vayu Seva participated in the 3 – Daily trading activity.
Organized by Tourism Industry Aotearoa (TIA), 44 New Zealand tourism businesses also participated in TRENZ as first-time sellers at TRENZ 2023.
“With TRENZ being able to host in person this year, and the addition of our online TRENZConnect online presence, international buyers will be able to develop and renew relationships with New Zealand’s premium Aotearoa tour operators. We have 40 new sellers and products to showcase this year. TRENZ 2023 offers a highly engaged industry ready to welcome the world back to New Zealand, do business and share what makes our country special,” said TIA CEO Rebecca Ingram.
“TRENZ is a bridge connecting the world with New Zealand’s incredible comprehensive tourism offering. It’s about nurturing valuable partnerships which, combined with the passion and commitment of our Indian tourism trade partners, will serve as a Catalyst for innovative ways to market New Zealand,” said Gregg Wafelbakker, General Manager Asia, Tourism New Zealand. .
