The “Halloween Afternoon Tea” and “Autumn Afternoon Tea” at Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo are very popular every year. This season, we have prepared a series of products that allow you to enjoy the unique taste of this season, using a lot of seasonal ingredients such as pumpkin, chestnuts and saury from Hokkaido.
The most recommended dessert is “Marjolaine”. When you put it in your mouth, you can enjoy the richness of chocolate, the nutty flavor of praline, and the aroma of caramelized hazelnut and walnut, which will keep you coming back for more. “Yakiguri Pie” is a crunchy pie crust filled with chocolate almond butter and chestnut frosting, topped with chestnuts covered in gold leaf. It is characterized by a slightly sweet and aromatic butter. “Pumpkin Mousse” that melts in your mouth. The sable fur is laid underneath, and the pumpkin honeydew is hidden in the pumpkin mousse. This pumpkin mousse is topped with chocolate crosses at Halloween afternoon tea. “Purple Potato Creamy Sweet Potato Pudding” in a glass bowl allows you to taste different textures such as sweet potato pudding, puff pastry, and candied sweet potato. A “pear macaron” is a macaroon stuffed with pear ganache and candied fruit. Macarons are ghosts for Halloween and pear-shaped macarons for fall.
We also offer delicious food that is full of seasonality. “Pumpkin Bread Sandwich with Pork Sauce” uses pumpkin bread, pickles give the pork sauce a refreshing feel, and dill and pink pepper add a refreshing accent. “Boroban with Mushroom Dussel and Truffle” is a pie stuffed with Dussel mushroom and roast beef with truffle. It has a mushroom aroma and a rich aftertaste. “Porcini Mushroom Consomme and King Crab Sweet Potato Chips” in a tall glass. Celery root puree and red king crab are served on top of porcini jelly and served with sliced sweet potatoes. Grilled saury sushi is a Japanese dish full of autumn flavor.
